1. Cutting amount
The greater the feed, the higher the residual area height and the rougher the surface of the part. Therefore, reducing the feed amount can effectively reduce the surface roughness value.
Cutting speed also has a great influence on surface roughness. When cutting elasto-plastic materials at medium speeds, since nodules are easily generated and plastic deformation is large, the surface roughness of the processed parts is large. Usually, low-speed or high-speed cutting of elastic-plastic materials can effectively avoid the generation of built-up edge, which has a positive effect on reducing the surface roughness value.
2. Tool geometric parameters
In the processing of precision parts, the main declination angle, secondary declination angle and tool tip arc radius have a direct impact on the surface roughness of the part.
